Decim8

Another favourite app gets the once-over.

The original image.

There is nothing to adjust with Decim8 - you just select the filter/s and hit the button. If you don't like what you get, hit the button again. Some filters seem to produce more varied variations than others, both in colour and in pattern.

You can combine filters, or just hit the 'random' button and let the app do it for you.

These samples were made using each filter on its own, in turn - by my count there are 27 of them. If you select 2 of them, that gives you over 700 possible variations. If you select 3, over 17000. Should be enough for anyone. I assume you could go on combining more filters, though, given that I have found that the app can run very slowly at times, it probably isn't a good idea to use too many at once.

iColorama 15

Brush/artist/the brush pot symbol. Twenty four options, eight sliders (four more hiden behind the symbol that looks like sliders). Try colour jitter, it's great - a little if you want subtle, a lot if you want in your face. I liked them all, so I've shown them all - there are a couple of repeats because Fast Collage has 26 spaces.

Form/glitch. Another new one. Ten options, four sliders, but nothing happens till you move Intensity.

Just when you thought you'd finished with iColorama...

along comes a stunning new upgrade, providing lots of artist's brushes.

Brush/artist. This is a sample of the 27 brushes found under the brush image at bottom left of the screen.
Eight sliders, including size and colour jitter - and this is just the first installment, there are another 24 brushes if you tap the brush pot symbol.

A grea app just got even better.
